Teleperformance Ghana, a global Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) company operating under the Ghana Free Zones programme, is expanding its operations in Ghana with plans to create up to 10,000 jobs. The move is expected to further strengthen Ghana’s growing reputation as a leading destination for BPO services in Africa.
The announcement followed a business meeting held between executives of Teleperformance Ghana and officials from the Ghana Free Zones Authority (GFZA) and the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC). The meeting took place at the company’s head office in Accra.
Welcoming the delegation, Mr. Thomas Mackenbrock, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Teleperformance Group, commended Ghana’s favorable business environment, describing it as one of the most competitive in the subregion for investment and outsourcing. He noted that Ghana’s strategic location and skilled workforce continue to position it as a rising hub for Business Process Outsourcing in Africa.

Mr. Mackenbrock highlighted Teleperformance’s sustained growth since entering the Ghanaian market. He revealed that the company had recently opened its third operational facility in Accra, committing to long-term investment in Ghana. Teleperformance Ghana currently employs over 1,300 Ghanaians and plans to scale up its operations significantly in the coming years.
Representing the CEO of the Ghana Free Zones Authority, Mr. Musah Sibri Hamidu, Deputy CEO for Finance and Administration, assured the company of the Authority’s full support. He encouraged Teleperformance to take advantage of the Free Zones incentives available to companies seeking to expand within Ghana, citing the opportunities available under the Free Zones for expanding their operations. The Ghana Free Zones programme offers numerous benefits, including tax exemptions and access to international markets.

Teleperformance’s expansion plans align with national efforts to attract more foreign direct investment through the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) and boost employment across key sectors. The company’s target of creating up to 10,000 jobs underscores the potential of outsourcing companies in Ghana to drive economic development.
