The Ghana Water Limited (GWL) has announced a temporary shutdown of water supply for customers in its Amasaman District.
The interruption is due to critical maintenance works at its Nsawam Treatment Plant.
In a press statement signed by Mrs Solace A. M. Akomeah, Communications Manager, Accra West Region, said the maintenance would take place from March 1 to March 7, 2025.
It said the maintenance would lead to a reduction in water production, which affected the supply of water to some communities.
The affected areas include: Amasaman Township, Abehenease, Toman, Sapeiman, Pobiman, Obeyeyie, Daaresalam, Fise, Amanfrom, and parts of Pokuase, along with nearby communities.
GWL urged residents in those areas to store enough water for use during the period and assured customers that the maintenance was aimed at improving overall water supply reliability.
