Vendors at the Black Street Festival are praising the event for boosting their sales and expanding their customer base. The annual festival, which celebrates African culture and creativity, transformed streets into lively markets with fashion shows, art exhibitions, live performances, and more. This year, over 50 vendors showcased various products, including African-inspired clothing, skincare items, and traditional dishes.
Vendors, such as Madam Magdalen Debrah of Pro-Poshmeg Solution, highlighted the festival’s role in growing their businesses. Madam Debrah, a regular participant, acknowledged the event’s improved organisation and strong publicity. Ms. Martha Naa Ayorkor Adefio of Swiss Irishcream also noted high sales, especially on the first day, although she suggested better placement of food vendors to attract more foot traffic.

Other participants, like Mr. Cyper Soul of Float Wellness Spa, reported positive feedback from customers, while Mr. Stephen Larbi, a first-time participant, viewed the festival as a stepping stone toward future opportunities. Despite some venue spacing issues, vendors remain optimistic about the event fostering long-term customer relationships and boosting local businesses.
