The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) says it is working with its technical partners to resolve intermittent challenges affecting tax payments through the Ghana.gov payment platform.
The Authority said the technical challenge, which started on Friday, Aug. 14, 2026, was affecting taxpayers, importers, clearing agents and other users of the platform.
In a statement issued by its Communication and Public Affairs Department, the GRA said the challenge affected payments initiated through the Integrated Customs Management System (ICUMS).
Payments initiated through the Integrated Tax Administration System (ITAS) and the Ghana Integrated Tax Management and Information System (GITMIS) were also affected.
The GRA, however, clarified that the technical challenge was limited to payment processing and did not affect the filing of tax returns.
It said the Ghana.gov payment platform remained operational despite the intermittent challenges, although some transactions could experience delays in processing or reflecting on taxpayers’ respective portals.
The Authority said technical interventions were ongoing and the matter was being treated with the highest priority to restore normal payment processing.
It assured taxpayers and other stakeholders that all necessary measures were being implemented to address affected transactions and minimise further disruptions.
The GRA said outstanding payment transactions would be processed and duly reflected on taxpayers’ portals once the system was fully normalised.
It urged taxpayers, importers and clearing agents to remain assured that efforts were ongoing to resolve the situation and said further updates would be provided as necessary.
