The maiden Ghana Export and SME Fair will bring together more than 500 businesses, international buyers and institutional financiers at Black Star Square from November 18 to 22, 2026, to promote Made-in-Ghana goods and services.
Accra Markets & Expo Limited has opened exhibitor registration for the maiden Ghana Export and SME Fair (GEXPO 2026), scheduled for November 18 to 22 at Black Star Square in Accra, as Ghana seeks to expand market access for locally produced goods and services.
The five-day event, being organised under the auspices of the Ministry of Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, is expected to bring together more than 500 indigenous enterprises, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), foreign trade missions, institutional financiers and international retail aggregators.
The fair is designed to connect Ghanaian producers with international buyers and procurement networks, creating opportunities for local businesses to expand beyond the domestic market and pursue export contracts.
Accra Markets & Expo Limited is organising the event in collaboration with the Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA), Ghana Exim Bank, the Federation of Ghanaian Exporters (FAGE), the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI) and the Ghana Enterprises Agency (GEA).
According to the organisers, GEXPO 2026 will support President John Dramani Mahama’s Accelerated Export Development Programme, which seeks to strengthen Ghana’s export capacity and promote manufacturing-led economic growth.
“The Mahama agenda aims to structurally transform Ghana from an import-dependent economy into a resilient, export-led manufacturing powerhouse,” the release stated.
The initiative will focus on high-growth sectors, including agro-processing, textiles and apparel, cosmetics and natural oils, light manufacturing, digital trade and exportable commercial services.
Through the exhibition, Ghanaian businesses are expected to have opportunities to showcase Made-in-Ghana products and services to international buyers and explore entry into new markets, including those within the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
Beyond product exhibitions, the organisers say the fair will incorporate structured business-to-business engagements intended to connect qualified Ghanaian producers with international buyers, procurement networks and institutional off-takers.
“Designed to generate bankable outcomes rather than mere exhibition,” the release stated, the fair will provide opportunities for Ghanaian producers to engage potential buyers and pursue long-term export supply agreements.
The programme will also feature technical sessions led by trade and standards experts, covering AfCFTA rules of origin, international packaging standards, phytosanitary requirements and credit facilities available through Ghana Exim Bank.
The sessions are intended to help businesses understand the regulatory, technical and financial requirements for accessing international markets.
Trading activities will extend into the evening, with a daily food bazaar and live music performances planned to attract visitors and support domestic commercial activity.
The organisers have invited SMEs, manufacturers, agro-processors and trade service providers to register for exhibition space and use the platform to pursue business partnerships and expand their market reach.
Prospective exhibitors can register through the event website, https://ghanaexportsmefair.com, or contact the organisers via [email protected].
