Stanbic Bank Ghana has entered a US$600,000 partnership with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and Mastercard aimed at expanding financial and business support for women entrepreneurs and professionals nationwide.
Anchored on IFC’s Banking on Women programme, the collaboration is set to strengthen Stanbic Bank’s capacity to deliver tailored, gender-responsive solutions, while broadening the support systems available to women seeking to grow and lead in business.
At the signing ceremony in Accra, leaders from the three institutions highlighted a shared focus on inclusive growth and economic empowerment. Stanbic Bank’s Chief Executive, Kwamina Asomaning, described the partnership as “deepening our commitment to inclusive growth” by enhancing the delivery of targeted financial solutions that enable women to make a meaningful economic impact.
The partnership is designed to support Ghana’s wider development agenda by providing women entrepreneurs and professionals with the tools to participate fully in, and help drive, economic transformation.
Officials noted that the partnership will not only provide access to capital but also strengthen the ecosystems and support structures necessary for women to thrive in business, reflecting a coordinated approach to gender-focused economic development.
