Flutterwave, Africa’s leading payments technology company, has unveiled the Flutterwave Accelerate Workshop—a virtual coaching initiative designed to equip young Africans with the practical skills needed to succeed in the technology sector.
The two-day workshop targets university students, recent graduates, and early-career professionals, providing them with direct access to expert-led sessions in four critical areas: Data Privacy and Cybersecurity, Product Design, Marketing, and Product Management.
Participants will be mentored by experienced professionals drawn from both Flutterwave and the wider tech industry. Notable facilitators include Ted Oladele, CEO of Mira and former VP of Design & Product at Flutterwave; Noel Ozoemena, Senior Manager of Branding and Storytelling; Nujinim Egwegbete-Odukwu, Head of Infrastructure Security; Abisola Epoyun, Data Privacy Manager; and Oluwatobiloba Animashaun, Product Manager at Flutterwave.
According to the company, the Accelerate Workshop is part of Flutterwave’s broader mission to support Africa’s growth by investing in its greatest resource—its youth. The program reflects the firm’s belief that access to knowledge and opportunity is key to unlocking the continent’s innovation potential.
“Through this initiative, we hope to bridge the skills gap and empower the next generation of African tech leaders,” Flutterwave said in a statement.
The launch of this program marks a significant step in Flutterwave’s ongoing efforts to blend financial innovation with capacity building, as it positions itself not just as a fintech giant, but also a key enabler of Africa’s digital future.
