- Cocoa paste (not defatted) followed with GH¢6.60 billion in export value, representing 14.3% of the food export market.
- Natural cocoa butter earned GH¢3.18 billion, contributing 6.9% to the country’s food export earnings.
- Cashew nuts (in shell) brought in GH¢2.65 billion, making up 5.8% of total food exports and highlighting growing demand in Asian markets.
- Prepared or preserved tuna (skipjack and Atlantic bonito) recorded exports worth GH¢2.23 billion, contributing 4.8% to Ghana’s food product trade.
- Crude shea oil and its fractions generated GH¢1.93 billion in exports, representing 4.2% of food exports and supporting Ghana’s position in the natural oils market.
- Cocoa paste (wholly or partly defatted) brought in GH¢1.29 billion, accounting for 2.8% of the total food product export value.
- Cocoa powder (with no sugar or sweeteners) contributed GH¢1.22 billion, making up 2.6% of Ghana’s food export earnings.
- Shea nuts (karité nuts) recorded GH¢1.04 billion in exports, representing 2.3% of the national food export portfolio.
- Fresh or dried bananas and plantains earned GH¢879 million in export value, accounting for 1.9% of food product exports in 2024.
Additionally, all other food products combined contributed GH¢10.13 billion, making up 22.0% of total food export value. In total, Ghana’s food product exports reached GH¢46.1 billion in 2024.
