African job seekers will have an opportunity to connect with employers across the continent later this month as Workistry prepares to host a five-day virtual job fair aimed at widening access to employment opportunities.
The fair, scheduled for October 26 to 30, is targeting one million candidates, more than 10,000 human resources professionals and recruiters, and 200,000 jobs.
By bringing job seekers and employers onto one platform, Workistry hopes to make it easier for candidates to explore vacancies beyond their home markets while helping businesses reach a wider pool of talent.
Looking beyond local job markets
The fair will target candidates and employers in several African countries, including Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Senegal, Cameroon, Angola, Zimbabwe and Côte d’Ivoire.
Candidates will be able to create profiles, upload their CVs, browse vacancies and contact recruiters through the platform. Employers will also be able to post vacancies, engage applicants, conduct interviews and shortlist candidates.
The cross-border approach gives job seekers a chance to explore opportunities in other African markets, while allowing employers to connect with professionals they may not reach through their usual recruitment channels.
Connecting talent with opportunity
Workistry is inviting recruiters to register on the platform and post at least two open positions ahead of the event, creating an avenue for employers to engage candidates and identify potential hires.
For job seekers, the fair offers an opportunity to broaden their search and connect directly with recruiters without being limited to opportunities in their immediate location.
Candidates and employers can register for the fair through Workistry’s website at www.workistry.com/jobfair.
