The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong, has urged his party to apologize to Ghanaians for the economic difficulties they have faced.
Speaking at the campaign launch for the Ablekuma South Constituency, Mr. Agyapong, a prominent member of the party, emphasized the importance of humility and responsibility in the NPP’s campaign message.
Mr. Agyapong addressed the various economic challenges the country faces, such as rising inflation, unemployment, and the impact of global economic fluctuations. He stressed that an apology is not just a moral duty but also a strategic move to showcase the party’s commitment to transparency and accountability.
“We must approach Ghanaians with humility, apologize, and admit our mistakes before we can persuade anyone to vote for us. If we ignore the hardships Ghanaians are experiencing, they will not listen to us. We need to acknowledge these hardships.”
“Let’s give the NPP another chance, and I believe we have all learned our lessons. We won’t sit back; we will all support Dr. Mahmudu Bawumia to win,” Kennedy Agyapong urged.
Agyapong also proposed policy measures to alleviate economic hardship, such as investing in local industries, improving infrastructure, and fostering a business-friendly environment to stimulate job creation. He urged his fellow party members to focus on these solutions and engage with the electorate with honesty and empathy.
