Vodafone Oman has surpassed one million users on its 5G network, a key milestone that underscores the company’s growing influence in the Sultanate’s telecommunications sector. The achievement marks Vodafone’s emergence as one of the most widely adopted 5G providers in Oman, delivering next-generation connectivity to consumers, households, and businesses.
This user milestone is supported by a robust digital infrastructure purpose-built for speed and reliability. Vodafone Oman’s fully independent 5G network is now central to how users across the country live and work in a fast-evolving digital landscape.
Earlier in the year, the network provider completed what it described as the fastest 5G network rollout in Oman’s history. Within less than three years, the company deployed 2,572 5G sites, achieving more than 98 percent population coverage, well ahead of its license obligations. The rapid expansion reflects Vodafone’s strategy to push technological frontiers and support the country’s broader digital ambitions.
“Reaching one million customers is a proud moment, not just because of the number, but because of what it represents; the trust of those who have chosen to connect through us. Our mission was never just to launch a network, it was to build something that grows with Oman’s ambitions and supports its people, every step of the way. This milestone validates our strategy, keeping everything simple, fast, and customer-focused, reaffirming our belief that digital infrastructure must serve people first,” said Eng. Bader Al Zidi, CEO of Vodafone Oman.
Looking ahead, Vodafone Oman is positioning its network as a key driver of enterprise digital transformation and youth innovation. The company aims to shift the narrative from infrastructure development to unlocking the network’s full potential in powering Oman’s competitiveness in the digital age.
