VIP Jeoun Transport has announced an upward review of its intercity transport fares, with the new rates set to take effect on Wednesday, April 8, in a move that adds to mounting cost pressures across Ghana’s passenger transport sector. The company said the adjustment will apply to both its Executive and Standard Tour services.
The implementation follows an earlier fare review notice that was first issued in March 2025 but later suspended, with the latest decision now confirming that the increase will take effect after what the company described as months of consideration. It also noted that its last fare adjustment was undertaken on April 26, 2024.
While the company did not publicly disclose the full breakdown of the fare increments in the report, the revised pricing structure is expected to affect passengers across its service categories depending on the class of travel selected. The development is likely to feed into broader household transport costs at a time when consumers remain sensitive to price changes.
