Transforming Agribusiness with Impact

“No matter how small your business is, believe in it. With hard work and determination, it will expand,” she noted.
Adupong’s commitment to women’s empowerment is deeply embedded in her business model. She maintains a 70% female workforce, creating employment opportunities that enhance financial independence for women in Ghana’s agribusiness value chain.
Under Adupong’s leadership, Meannan Foods has made remarkable strides. What began as a one-person operation now boasts a team of 33 employees operating from its Mataheko factory in the Ningo/Prampram district.

In 2021, Meannan Foods received a GHS 105,000 ($17,000) grant, which facilitated the acquisition of advanced machinery, boosting production efficiency by over 100%. This investment enabled the company to meet rising customer demand while maintaining its commitment to delivering nutritious and convenient meal solutions.

A Call for Inclusive Growth
Adupong’s journey is a testament to the transformative power of women-led businesses in Ghana’s agribusiness sector. As she continues to scale Meannan Foods, her impact resonates beyond profits – she is fostering economic empowerment, enhancing food security, and championing women’s financial inclusion.
