The Teria Foundation for Early Education is set to host its annual EARLYFEST, an event designed to bring together educators, parents, and stakeholders in early childhood education to network, share ideas, and celebrate innovation in the sector.
Madam Beatrice Arthur, Fashion Domain Leader, KORA All Africa Fashion Award winner, and a key figure in the Ghana Culture Forum, highlighted the gap that existed before EARLYFEST was established in 2020. According to her, there was no significant platform for early years stakeholders to come together annually.
This led to the launch of the Africa Early Childhood Education Awards, aimed at recognizing and celebrating hardworking educators and key players in the field. Over the years, EARLYFEST has grown steadily. In 2021, the Early Clinic was introduced to build the capacity of facilitators and school managers.
The following year saw the addition of Early Fashion, which nurtures young learners passionate about creative industries such as modeling and sewing. This Year’s Theme termed: “Tackling Climate Change Through Early Years Education: The Role of Stakeholders.”

The festival seeks to inspire attendees to adopt eco-friendly practices and raise environmental awareness through art and education. The festival will feature captivating choreography by participating schools, cultural performances celebrating diverse traditions, poetry recitals showcasing creativity, interactive dance competitions, an arts exhibition highlighting young talents, and fun games for kids and families to enjoy.
The Teria Foundation aims to position EARLYFEST as one of Africa’s largest festivals for children, parents, and educators. Its mission is to motivate educators, create job opportunities, promote tourism, and encourage sustainable practices while inspiring stakeholders to be role models for children.
