Customer service, satisfaction and customer loyalty are emerging as important measures of competition among Ghanaian banks, with OmniBSIC Bank receiving four distinctions at the 37th Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ghana (CIMG) National Marketing Performance Awards.

The bank was named Marketing-Oriented Bank of the Year, alongside awards for Best Bank in Service Quality and Best Performance in Net Promoter Score (Consumer Banking). It also placed second runner-up in Customer Satisfaction.

The awards, presented at the Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra on October 17, 2026, recognised marketing performance during the 2025 assessment year.

The recognition in service quality and Net Promoter Score highlights two areas of growing importance to retail banking: how customers experience banking services and their willingness to recommend a provider to others.

Responding to the awards, OmniBSIC Bank’s Group Head of Corporate Banking, Anne Marie Appiah, said the results reflected the bank’s strategy of placing customers at the centre of its operations and aligning marketing with service delivery.

She said the bank’s approach was to build customer relationships through service quality, trust and consistent engagement rather than relying on marketing activities alone.

Appiah said the recognition for service quality and Net Promoter Score was particularly significant because both relate to customers’ experiences and their willingness to recommend the bank’s services.

She added that management would continue to improve service delivery, deepen customer engagement and ensure its marketing strategy remained responsive to customer needs.
