The highly anticipated 2024 edition of Rhythms On Da Runway will unfold with a series of key events leading up to the grand celebration later today Saturday November 30.
The official launch took place on September 21, and excitement is building around this year’s theme, The Kente Edition, which draws inspiration from Ghana’s iconic kente cloth. Known for its rich cultural significance, kente represents unity, pride, and heritage, with colors such as gold and green symbolizing wealth, status, growth, and renewal. This year’s theme also aligns with the importance of unity in Ghana’s political landscape, coinciding with the nation’s election period.
The event begun with casting on October 5, followed by a fashion forum held on November 14, designed to engage designers, fashion schools, and creative artists in meaningful discussions. These engagements served as an essential platform for fostering collaboration within the creative industries.

The grand finale, slated for today, will feature an electrifying fusion of fashion and music, showcasing top African designers, musicians, and rising talents, with an open invitation extended to the global diaspora.
Since its debut in 2010, Rhythms On Da Runway has been a critical event for spotlighting the richness of African fashion and music, emphasizing the importance of inclusivity, cultural pride, and creative collaboration across the continent and beyond. The Kente Edition promises to continue this tradition while celebrating the vibrancy and unity of the African people during a significant time in Ghana’s history.
