South African-based tech firm NIL Africa has partnered with global telecom education provider Apis Training to deliver specialized training programs across Sub-Saharan Africa, as part of efforts to meet rising demand for digital and telecom skills across the continent.
The deal names NIL Africa as the official reseller of Apis Training’s courses in the region. The curriculum will focus on key areas such as mobile networks, 5G, cybersecurity, IoT, and other emerging technologies, sectors identified as critical to Africa’s accelerating digital transformation.
“We are thrilled to be working with Apis Training to support Africa’s growing telecom industry. The telecom sector in Africa is experiencing rapid growth, with mobile data traffic in Sub-Saharan Africa expected to increase by 400% over the next five years, according to the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). This surge underscores the urgent need for skilled professionals who can drive and manage this transformation,” said Brad Thomas, Sales and Marketing Director at NIL Africa.
“Our partnership with Apis Training enables us to equip local telecom operators, regulators, and enterprises with the knowledge and expertise to navigate this digital revolution effectively,” he added.
The partnership will provide clients across Africa with localized support and access to Apis Training’s full catalog of e-learning content. The two companies also plan to offer customized learning paths designed to meet specific regional needs.
With telecom infrastructure expanding rapidly across Africa, industry leaders and regulators have identified workforce development as a major constraint. The collaboration is positioned to help bridge that gap by offering scalable, industry-aligned training solutions. Both companies say the initiative reinforces their commitment to strengthening digital capacity on the continent.
