Led by technology entrepreneur Kane Mani, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Origgin Ltd, the conference brought together the company’s technology, engineering and innovation ambitions, with demonstrations of emerging energy technologies and announcements outlining its plans to transform electricity access across Ghana and Africa.

Under its mission to make electricity available and reliable to everyone, Origgin is developing an integrated energy technology ecosystem that combines energy infrastructure, intelligent hardware, software platforms and innovative approaches to electricity generation and transmission.

Origgin Demonstrates Its Energy Technologies

A major highlight of OrigginWorks 2026 was the live demonstration of several technologies within the Origgin ecosystem.

The team demonstrated voice-enabled prepaid electricity purchasing through the Origgin App, showing how users can interact with electricity services through voice commands.

The company also demonstrated Origgin Node, its smart energy monitoring technology, and Sona Smart Speaker, designed to make interaction with electricity services more intuitive through voice-enabled technology.

The demonstrations highlighted Origgin’s approach to combining hardware, software and artificial intelligence to improve how households and businesses access and manage electricity.

Demonstrating the Origgin Solar Station

OrigginWorks also featured a demonstration of how the proposed Origgin Solar Station will work.

The team presented the concept and operating principles behind the Solar Station, illustrating how the infrastructure is intended to generate and supply electricity through a network of solar-powered energy stations.

Origgin’s ambition is to establish a nationwide network of Solar Stations across Ghana, providing businesses and communities with an alternative source of electricity.

The Solar Station initiative represents a central pillar of the company’s long-term strategy to build scalable energy infrastructure and improve access to reliable electricity.

Demonstration of Wireless Electricity Technology

Another major highlight was Origgin’s demonstration of the principle of wireless electricity transmission.

The demonstration introduced attendees to the concept of transmitting electrical energy wirelessly and showcased the technological principles behind the company’s exploration of alternative electricity transmission systems.

This reflects Origgin’s commitment to exploring new approaches to energy infrastructure and developing technologies that could contribute to the future of electricity distribution.

Origgin Announces Genesis Factory and Plans for Mega Factory

At OrigginWorks 2026, Origgin announced the commencement of its Origgin Genesis Factory, marking the beginning of its planned manufacturing and industrial development journey.

The Genesis Factory represents the first phase of Origgin’s broader factory development strategy, which is designed to establish the manufacturing foundation for its growing portfolio of energy technologies.

Beyond the Genesis Factory, the company has outlined plans for an Origgin Mega Factory, a major manufacturing facility intended to support production at a much larger scale.

The Mega Factory will play a central role in Origgin’s ambition to develop and deploy a nationwide network of Solar Stations across Ghana. It is intended to strengthen the company’s manufacturing capacity, support the production of its energy technologies and provide the industrial foundation required for nationwide infrastructure expansion.

For Origgin, building local manufacturing capacity is an important step towards establishing an African energy technology company capable of serving markets beyond Ghana.

Origgin Targets a $650 Million IPO in 2027 to Scale Nationwide Solar Infrastructure

One of the most significant announcements at OrigginWorks 2026 was the company’s ambition to pursue a $650 million Initial Public Offering (IPO) in 2027.

Origgin intends to use the capital raised through the proposed IPO to accelerate its industrial and infrastructure expansion, with a major focus on building the Origgin Mega Factory and establishing a nationwide network of Origgin Solar Stations.

The planned investment will support the company’s ambitions across manufacturing, energy infrastructure development, technology production and deployment.

The strategy is built around a clear progression: establish the manufacturing foundation, build the capacity to produce energy technologies at scale, and use that capacity to roll out Solar Stations across Ghana.

The proposed IPO represents Origgin’s long-term capital-raising ambition and remains subject to the necessary preparations, market conditions, regulatory requirements and approvals.

Kane Mani Leads Origgin’s Vision

The conference was led by technology entrepreneur Kane Mani, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Origgin Ltd, who guided the team in presenting the company’s technologies, infrastructure plans and long-term ambitions.

Under his leadership, Origgin is pursuing a strategy that combines energy infrastructure, intelligent hardware, software platforms, manufacturing and emerging technologies.

His vision is centred on developing solutions that address the fundamental challenges preventing people and businesses from accessing reliable electricity.

OrigginWorks 2026 provided a platform for Kane Mani and the Origgin team to demonstrate their progress and communicate the company’s ambition to contribute to transforming Africa’s energy sector.

The Journey Ahead

Following its maiden technology conference, Origgin is focused on advancing its product development, commencing the Genesis Factory initiative, preparing for the development of its Mega Factory and engaging prospective commercial customers for its Solar Station initiative.

The company’s long-term ambition is to establish a nationwide network of Solar Stations supported by locally developed technologies and large-scale manufacturing capacity.

With its proposed $650 million IPO target in 2027, Origgin is preparing for an ambitious phase of industrial and infrastructure expansion.

OrigginWorks 2026 marked an important milestone in that journey. For Origgin, the objective extends beyond developing individual energy products; it is about building the manufacturing capabilities and infrastructure needed to make electricity available and reliable to everyone.
