Ghana’s efforts to expand digital skills training and technology-driven job creation received a boost when the Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George, met with a delegation from MTN Ghana to review progress on an ongoing ICT Hub project at the Accra Digital Centre.
The MTN team, led by Adwoa Afriyie Wiafe, Chief Corporate Services and Sustainability Officer, briefed the minister on the status of the partnership initiative, which forms part of the One Million Coders programme and other digital innovation projects. The initiative aims to build a stronger pipeline of young technology talent, expand access to practical digital training, and support new job opportunities in Ghana’s emerging digital economy.

Following the presentation, the minister described the partnership as an important step toward equipping young people with the tools needed to participate effectively in the modern economy. He also reiterated his commitment to advancing innovation and promoting technology-driven employment.
The ICT Hub project at the Accra Digital Centre is expected to serve as a major anchor for skills development, entrepreneurship support and youth participation in Ghana’s digital transformation agenda.
