MTN Ghana has thrown its support behind efforts by the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) to attract investment into Ghana’s regions through the Regional Investment Roadshows.
The initiative is aimed at attracting investors to opportunities across Ghana’s regions and districts, with a focus on unlocking underutilised potential outside Accra.
Speaking on the initiative, MTN Ghana Chief Executive Officer Stephen Blewett reaffirmed the company’s role as a development partner, describing the collaboration as part of MTN’s commitment to support the country’s investment agenda. He noted that the telecom operator is “proud to stand with” the investment authority as it works to unlock “regional and district-level investment opportunities” across the country.
According to him, initiatives such as the regional roadshows are important for driving “inclusive growth” and advancing a broader national vision of economic transformation.
Blewett said MTN’s role in the partnership extends beyond providing telecommunications services, positioning the company as a platform for “innovation” and “digital transformation,” while also supporting entrepreneurship across key sectors of the economy.
Through the collaboration with the GIPC, the company expects to help attract investment into “technology and innovation hubs,” while supporting the expansion of digital infrastructure and strengthening the country’s growing e-commerce ecosystem.
The MTN Ghana CEO added that the company remains committed to supporting businesses, communities and investors with “tools, partnerships and digital capabilities” that can help enterprises scale and remain competitive.
He noted that sectors such as agriculture, healthcare and education stand to benefit significantly from stronger digital infrastructure and innovation-driven investment.
Blewett also indicated that the regional engagement offers an opportunity for the company to interact more closely with its customers and partners while showcasing solutions designed to enhance productivity and digital inclusion for both individuals and businesses.
He expressed appreciation to the leadership of the GIPC for their efforts toward Ghana’s economic development, commending the organisation’s dedication to advancing the country’s investment agenda and building stronger partnerships with the private sector.
MTN Ghana said it considers the partnership with the GIPC an important step toward building “a stronger, more competitive, and more prosperous Ghana,” as both institutions work to promote investment-led development across the country.
