Some Ghanaians are expressing split opinions over the actions of the Greater Accra Regional Minister, Titus Nii Kwartei Glover in evicting some traders massing up at the newly commissioned Flower Pot Flyover to hawk.
A day after the new flyover was commissioned by President Akufo-Addo, some hawkers were seen converging at the place to display their goods to sell.
After pictures and videos of the emerging hawking scene went viral on social media, the Greater Accra Regional Minister was seen at the scene driving away these traders.

A video that has gone viral has a visibly angry Titus Glover destroying the tables, chairs, and other items of these hawkers.
The action of the minister has generated a heated debate on social media.
While some Ghanaians have applauded the Minister for showing leadership, others believe it is just a showmanship which is just a nine-day wonder and hence won’t achieve any impact.
Others believe the destruction of the tables and chairs of the vendors was needless since they are the source of livelihood for these hawkers but those on the side of the Minister say the action was necessary else in no time these traders will turn the flyover into a major market place in Accra.
This development follows a stern warning during the commissioning of the interchange that no kiosks, containers, or unauthorized structures should be set up near the intersection. But the vendors began converging at the place a day after the warning to engage in trading activities hence the action of the minister.
