The Independent Power Generators, Ghana (IPGG), has extended its heartfelt congratulations to President-elect John Dramani Mahama on his re-election as President of the Republic of Ghana and pledged to collaborate with his administration to tackle energy sector challenges.
In a statement signed by Dr. Elikplim Kwabla Apetorgbor, the Chief Executive Officer of the association expressed optimism about the future of the energy sector under Mahama’s leadership.
Over the years, Ghana’s energy sector has grappled with significant challenges, including financial instability, liquidity crises, and gaps in policy direction. The IPGG noted that Mahama’s return to power presents a renewed opportunity to address these issues with determination and strategic focus.

The IPGG pledged its commitment to cooperating with the government to develop long-term solutions to the energy sector’s challenges. Dr. Apetorgbor emphasized that meaningful engagement, strategic planning, and decisive action will be critical in creating a resilient and efficient energy sector capable of driving Ghana’s developmental aspirations.
Highlighting Mahama’s track record of prioritizing energy infrastructure and reforms during his previous tenure, the IPGG expressed confidence in his ability to deliver impactful changes in the coming years.
