GoldBod Jewellery Limited has opened its retail and distribution network to private participation, inviting applications from sales agents, franchise owners and strategic partners as part of what it describes as a nationwide expansion drive to deepen access to locally produced gold jewellery.
The company said the initiative is intended to “make premium, authentically Ghanaian gold jewellery accessible” across the country, indicating a shift toward a more decentralised, partner-led distribution model within the formal jewellery market.
Under the arrangement, selected partners are expected to operate within GoldBod’s commercial framework, with the firm indicating it will provide “strong brand support,” alongside “direct access to high-quality products” and structured capacity-building for participants.

The Management noted that the expansion is designed to build “strong partnerships that deliver shared value,” while widening market reach for domestically refined and manufactured jewellery products. The approach aligns with broader industry calls to retain more value locally within Ghana’s gold value chain, particularly through branding, fabrication and retail.
Prospective partners are required to meet defined eligibility criteria, although specific thresholds were not disclosed. Interested applicants have been directed to engage the company through its Accra showroom or designated contact lines.
The announcement comes amid broader efforts in Ghana to bring more structure into the gold trade and increase local participation in activities that add value, with firms such as GoldBod looking to expand their presence within the organised retail segment.
