Geophysical monitoring technology company Geolinks has confirmed its participation as a bronze sponsor at African Mining Week (AMW) 2026, scheduled for October 14–16 in Cape Town, as Africa’s mining sector continues to expand in response to rising demand for exploration and safety technologies.

According to Energy Capital & Power, the company’s sponsorship is part of a broader strategy to strengthen its presence in Africa, deploying pilot projects across Southern Africa and South Africa in collaboration with French innovation and investment institutions, including Bpifrance, the Île-de-France Paris Region, and the Avenia French Geosciences Cluster.
“The African continent holds untapped mineral resources valued at trillions of dollars,” the company noted. Initiatives such as Ghana’s national geomapping program and exploration drives in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Liberia, Burundi, Tanzania, and Botswana are creating opportunities for geophysical solutions providers like Geolinks to support mining safety, operational efficiency, and sustainable project development.
Geolinks’ technology monitors underground fluid dynamics and geological structures, particularly in tailings dams, helping mining operators mitigate risks while improving safety standards.
During AMW 2026, company executives will engage in panel discussions, networking sessions, and technology showcases to explore partnerships with African project developers, regulators, and investors.
By participating in AMW, Geolinks aims to leverage Africa’s $8.5 trillion untapped mineral potential and align with French government initiatives to expand French companies’ engagement in Africa’s strategic sectors, including mining and energy.
