Dr. Mary Awusi, Chief Executive Officer of GFZA, received Mr. Mohamed Taher, Director for International Development at YES PAC, in Accra. The meeting, facilitated by the Ghana Investment Promotion Authority (GIPC), introduced the investor to Ghana’s Free Zones framework and highlighted its synergy with the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

She cited Ghana’s political stability, reliable electricity supply, and position as host of the AfCFTA Secretariat as strong investment advantages. The Authority pledged to guide YES PAC through a smooth process in setting up operations under the scheme, adding that such investments would contribute to job creation, trade growth, and national developmt.

The meeting also underscored GFZA’s commitment to attracting value-adding investors into Ghana’s export-oriented sectors. Officials present included Hamidu Sibiri Musah, Deputy CEO (Finance & Administration), Dr. Patience Agbleze Acorlor, Director of Corporate Affairs & Public Relations, and Kingsford Dagre, Assistant Manager, Business Development, AfCFTA & Special Projects.
