For many Ghanaian businesses, losses do not only come from weak sales or low demand. Costs also accumulate quietly through slow manual processes, repeated purchases, misplaced inventory and long hours spent on reconciliation. Technology firm Jogobu Limited says these leakages can be addressed.
According to the company, businesses can cut operational costs by 30 to 60 percent when daily activities are streamlined through digital systems.
Speaking at a business seminar for corporate clients in Accra, Chief Executive Officer of Jogobu, Blaise Kudatugu said many organizations lack real-time visibility over their operations, especially in inventory management and supply chain control, which leads to inefficiencies and unnecessary spending.
He explained that routine tasks such as stock-taking and checking item availability can take several hours in many facilities. Jogobu’s integrated operational system can reduce these processes to 15 to 20 minutes, helping to minimise delays and human error.
“Whether you are a healthcare facility, a manufacturer or a distribution centre, the benefits are in the system. When your data is real-time and you know exactly what is in your stores, you avoid wastage, prevent losses and stop reordering items you already have,” Kudatugu said.
He noted that many businesses incur avoidable expenditure simply because they cannot trace what they already own. Real-time visibility, he said, prevents repeat purchasing and strengthens accountability.
Real-Time Visibility As a Business Advantage
Jogobu’s software solutions combine inventory management, asset tracking and staff identification tools. This allows managers to monitor the movement and usage of goods and equipment at any time, using computers or mobile devices.
“You get a complete overview of your operations in real time. It makes decision-making faster and clearer,” Kudatugu said.
Local Solutions Designed for Local Needs
Kudatugu emphasized that Jogobu builds and supports its solutions locally. This ensures businesses receive timely support and system integration that reflects Ghana’s operating environment.
“Our clients do not have to rely on foreign providers in different time zones. We understand how operations work here and support them accordingly,” he said.
Encouraging Knowledge Sharing and Adoption
The seminar brought together companies from logistics, healthcare, ports, manufacturing and telecommunications to share experiences and explore new applications of Jogobu’s solutions.
“For some businesses, digital systems bring cost savings. For others, they improve routines. And for some organisations, they provide the structure needed to operate efficiently,” Kudatugu said.
Technology as a Business Imperative
He concluded that digital adoption is now essential for business competitiveness.
“Technology is not an expense. It is a strategic investment. Companies that adopt it early build resilience. Those that delay absorb losses,” he said.
