Delta Air Lines has announced plans to launch a new daily nonstop service between Accra and Atlanta starting December 1, 2025, and further strengthening its presence in the Ghanaian aviation market.
The announcement, made via a press release issued by Kingdom Concepts Consult on behalf of the airline, stated that the new service is a move to enhance travel convenience for passengers flying between Ghana and the United States by reducing layovers and travel time.
The seasonal route will be operated using the Airbus A330-900neo, one of Delta’s most modern aircraft, equipped with Delta One Suites, Premium Select, Comfort+, and Main Cabin seating options.
This new flight marks Delta’s second direct service between Ghana and the U.S., and will operate into Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, the world’s busiest airport and Delta’s largest hub.
The route provides travellers with seamless connections to over 215 destinations across the U.S. and internationally, including major cities such as Los Angeles, Miami, Dallas, Washington D.C., and Honolulu.
The airline said the service would especially benefit travellers heading to the U.S. for business, family visits, and festive occasions, such as the popular “Detty December” holidays.
