Cassava Technologies, a global technology company of African heritage, said on Thursday it has received an investment from NVIDIA to accelerate the expansion of its digital infrastructure and services across Africa, the Middle East, and Latin America.
The UK-headquartered firm operates a diversified portfolio of business units, including Liquid Intelligent Technologies, Africa Data Centres, Liquid C2, Cassava.ai, and Sasai Fintech, which collectively provide digital solutions in 94 countries. Cassava’s offerings span cloud services, data centers, artificial intelligence solutions, and fintech products, positioning the company as a leading technology provider of African origin.
Hardy Pemhiwa, President and Group CEO, said the investment marks “an important milestone” in the company’s growth, adding that it would help unlock additional value and catalyze further expansion to bridge the digital divide on the continent.
Cassava’s investor base now includes major global and African institutions such as Econet Group, British International Investment, Finnfund, Afreximbank/FEDA, Gateway Capital, Google LLC, International Finance Corporation (IFC), NVIDIA, Public Investment Corporation, and Royal Bafokeng Holdings.
The company said it plans to leverage the funding to enhance digital infrastructure, expand its service offerings, and strengthen partnerships with governments, enterprises, and customers across its markets.
Cassava Technologies, headquartered in the United Kingdom, has operations across Africa, the Middle East, Latin America, and the United States, aiming to establish itself as a global technology leader rooted in African innovation.
