Mr. Samuel Okerchiri, Senior Presales Engineer at Dell Technologies for Central West Africa, has emphasized the importance of investing in Artificial Intelligence (AI) literacy training for employees.
He stated that as businesses pursue technology and innovation initiatives, having a knowledgeable workforce is essential for enhancing service delivery.
Okerchiri highlighted the need for companies to establish a robust governance structure around AI. He recommended forming dedicated teams to foster an AI-ready mindset among staff members.

Mr. Okerchiri also clarified the misconception that Al technology would replace jobs, explaining instead that it will assist humans in performing their tasks more easily.
“Education is crucial in enhancing understanding of AI and alleviating fears surrounding its implementation,” he stated, urging businesses to prioritize training and development in this area.
He was speaking at the 10th Anniversary Celebration of Tenece Ghana in Accra on Thursday.
Mr. Kingsley Eze, Chief Executive Officer of Tenece Group, echoed Okerchiri’s sentiments, encouraging business owners to invest in AI and innovation to maintain a competitive edge. He asserted that organizations aspiring to lead in the technology sector must cultivate strong innovation capabilities to keep pace with current trends.
“For companies that do the kind of stuff we do, stay abreast of current trends. If you really want to lead in the Al age, you need to make innovation investments,” he said.
