The Bishop Herman Old Boys’ Union of North America (BHOBU-NA) has announced plans to host its 2026 Congress and Fundraising Dinner Dance on May 15–16, 2026, at the Hilton Fairfax in Virginia. The two-day event will bring together alumni and supporters to celebrate their shared heritage and launch the BHOBU-NA Endowment Fund, a landmark initiative aimed at ensuring the Union’s long-term financial sustainability and educational impact.
The 2026 Congress will feature a series of activities, including an Old School Jam and a Business and Networking Meeting, where alumni will reflect on their achievements and renew their collective commitment to advancing Bishop Herman College in Ghana. The celebration will climax with a Gala Dinner Dance and the official launch of the Endowment Fund, which will support long-term projects focused on educational excellence, student development, and infrastructure improvement.
Through this Fund, BHOBU-NA seeks to establish a stable financial base to benefit future generations of students. The initiative underscores the Union’s mission to preserve the strong foundation of academic and moral leadership that has defined Bishop Herman College for decades.
“This Congress is not just a celebration of brotherhood, it’s an investment in our legacy,” said Dr. James Doe, BHOBU-NA President. “By launching the Endowment Fund, we’re taking a decisive step toward ensuring that Bishop Herman College continues to thrive for years to come, regardless of changing times or resources.”
In addition to alumni participation, BHOBU-NA is inviting corporate sponsors, community partners, and well-wishers to contribute to the transformative initiative. According to the organizers, contributions to the Endowment Fund will be managed with transparency and accountability to guarantee meaningful and measurable outcomes.
The Congress marks a defining moment in BHOBU-NA’s history, combining fellowship with forward-looking investment to strengthen one of Ghana’s premier educational institutions.
