Ghana’s artificial intelligence industry will convene in Accra in March 2027 for the third Ghana AI Summit & Awards, with organisers putting economic value, policy, workforce readiness and responsible adoption at the centre of efforts to move AI beyond experimentation.
The summit, scheduled for March 30–31, 2027, will take place under the theme “The Intelligent Future: People. Policy. Profit. Progress.” It will bring together policymakers, businesses, technology companies, investors, researchers, entrepreneurs, development partners and civil-society organisations to examine how AI can be translated into measurable economic and social gains.
Organised by Data Nyansa, Deloitte Ghana and partners, the event is being positioned as a platform for investment, partnerships and practical adoption rather than solely a technology conference.
“In its third year, the Ghana AI Summit has grown into an important and landmark event on Ghana’s technology and innovation calendar,” said Dr. Kwami Ahiabenu, chair of Ghana AI Summit 2026. “As Ghana prepares to celebrate 70 years of independence in March 2027, we are proud that the Summit will form part of this important national moment. Our ambition is not simply to discuss artificial intelligence, but to contribute to building Ghana’s intelligent future.”
The summit comes as governments and businesses across Africa seek to establish the infrastructure, skills and regulatory frameworks needed to capture economic opportunities from rapidly advancing AI technologies.
Practical AI training
The first day of the summit will be dedicated to a one-day practical workshop, allowing executives, professionals, entrepreneurs, policymakers and innovators to examine applications of AI and how the technology can be incorporated into organisations and professional practice.
The format is intended to shift part of the event from high-level discussion toward hands-on learning and capability development.
The main conference on March 31 will broaden the discussion to Ghana’s and Africa’s wider AI ecosystem, with keynote addresses, expert panels, knowledge-sharing sessions and networking. Topics will include AI and economic growth, entrepreneurship, workforce readiness, responsible and ethical AI, regulation, public-sector applications, healthcare, agriculture, environmental sustainability, investment and business transformation.
African AI Roundtable
An African AI Roundtable will also connect Ghana’s technology ecosystem with stakeholders from across the continent, reflecting the organisers’ focus on Africa’s position in the emerging global AI economy.
The summit will also feature the Ghana AI Awards 2027 and the National AI Challenge, providing platforms to recognise organisations, leaders and innovators contributing to the country’s AI ecosystem.
Researchers and innovators will have opportunities to showcase their work, with selected research contributions considered for inclusion in the conference proceedings.
The event builds on earlier editions of the Ghana AI Summit, which brought together stakeholders from government, business, academia and technology to examine the opportunities and challenges associated with artificial intelligence in Ghana and Africa.
Registration, programme details, partnership opportunities and the call for papers are available through Ghana AI Summit.
