The solar panel structure at A&C Mall in East Legon, which collapsed amid heavy rainfall on Tuesday, has resulted in a damage to more than 80 vehicles parked in the lot. The incident has prompted an immediate response from A&C Development.
In a statement released, the company attributed the incident to adverse weather conditions. While no injuries have been reported, management acknowledged the disruption to the community and the inconvenience caused to vehicle owners.
“Our team, along with the relevant authorities, is on-site to manage the situation and ensure a swift resolution,” the statement noted.
The mall has pledged to keep the public informed as repair efforts progress and has reassured stakeholders of its ongoing commitment to safety and prompt action. Vehicle owners affected by the collapse will now turn to their insurance companies, as it is unclear if the mall will be responsible for the damages caused by nature.
