The 24-Hour Office has begun distributing the 24H+ Programme document to deepen public engagement and rally support around the government’s ambitious economic transformation agenda.
Dubbed the 24-Hour Economy and Accelerated Export Development Programme (24H+), the initiative is a flagship strategy aimed at building a self-reliant, industrialised, and export-led economy.
The programme focuses on integrated value chains, vibrant markets, a skilled and competitive workforce, and enhanced regional and global trade, driving inclusive growth, job creation, and reduced import dependence.
According to a statement issued by the 24 Hour Office, the 24H+ initiative, championed by President John Dramani Mahama, is both a “destination and a programme.”
“As a destination, it envisions a Ghana where high productivity sustains round-the-clock economic activity,” the statement explained.
“As a programme, it provides a clear framework to restructure the economy through agro-processing, digital innovation, infrastructure development, logistics, skills training, and export competitiveness.”
The Office described the 24H+ as a national mobilisation campaign that encourages active citizen and partner participation, grounded in the belief that economic transformation must be inclusive and driven by collective effort.
“This programme belongs to all Ghanaians. We urge citizens, investors, development partners, and friends of Ghana to read the document, reflect on the vision, and share their ideas,” the statement said.
