The Youth Employment Agency (YEA) has signed a one-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with G4S Security Services to provide employment opportunities for 6,000 young Ghanaians in the security sector.
Aligning with the agency’s mandate to reduce youth unemployment by facilitating sustainable job placements, the agreement, led by YEA CEO Malik Basintale, with G4S is expected to be a major step in equipping young Ghanaians with gainful employment. The portal for interested application, is expected to be launched on Monday March 17. He stated that before interested parties apply, they should make sure to check for the authenticity of the portal yet to be launched, in order to avoid any form of fraud.
Again at the signing ceremony, Mr. Basintale stressed the significance of the collaboration in addressing unemployment and enhancing national security.

The initiative will see recruits undergo professional security training before being deployed to various institutions and corporate entities under G4S. It forms part of YEA’s broader strategy to foster private sector partnerships to drive youth employment.
G4S, a global leader in security solutions, reaffirmed its commitment to providing quality training and career development for the recruits.
The YEA-G4S partnership is expected to commence implementation immediately, with recruitment processes rolling out in phases across all regions of the country.
