@Kwesi Yankah,
Alias Marcus, Alias Madina Rawlings, Alias Abonsam Fireman, Alias Kwatriot.
I truly enjoyed reading your book, “The Pen At Risk.”
It captures your interpretation of contemporary history of Ghana, in a way that is lost on many of my generation and after.
It is also humorous.
I vehemently disagree with you on June 4. But then what validity will my praise of the book earn, if I cannot tell you where I disagree?
My view has always been that your entry into politics was a misstep. You seem to agree. But, so what? Who has never made a mistake?
It is an honest book by many standards. I am grateful it was written. Congratulations.
I was stunned to turn a page and see myself staring back at me. Thank you for putting me in such prestigious company – vote of thanks! You immortalised my days in Katanga.
I toyed around with writing a review of the book. For now though, I have decided that the people I would really like to read and reflect on this book, respond to a different kind of digital stimulus.
So I have taken to digital channels to stimulate interest. On several channels, the book is being discussed now; for better or for worse.
One day, I may write about the writing in the book.
If I do, I will title my write-up, *“Abonsam yε me neighbour”*
Yaw Nsarkoh.
