Fourth edition adds guaranteed gifts, community rewards and a top prize worth 1,000 times the ticket value
For someone buying a lottery ticket, the question is usually simple: what are the chances of getting something back?
That question is at the heart of the fourth edition of The Luckiest™ Seasonal Draw, which has returned with more ways for participants to win, including guaranteed gifts, community-based rewards and a bigger ultimate prize.
Launched in Accra, the 2026 edition runs from September 22 to December 19, with tickets starting from GH¢1 and going up to GH¢5,000.
Organised by GENIUSLOCI Limited and regulated by the National Lottery Authority (NLA), the draw has increased its top reward from 500 times the ticket value last season to 1,000 times this year.
The initiative’s Chief Executive Officer, Dennis Adutwum, said the fourth season would combine rewards for participants with a broader effort to return value to the communities taking part in the draw.
More ways to win
One of the biggest additions this year is the Luckiest Gift Promo, which guarantees a gift to anyone who purchases tickets worth GH¢100.
The rewards include rent advance support, television sets, restaurant vouchers and other prizes.
There is also a three-draw reward scheme, under which three randomly selected tickets will receive additional bonuses on the night of the main draw.
For participants, the new features mean there are more opportunities to receive a reward rather than relying solely on the final prize.
How to participate
Tickets start from GH¢1, with participants able to buy multiple tickets through the *712# platform.
After completing a purchase, buyers receive a transaction confirmation from their telecommunications provider. A separate message from The Luckiest™ then provides the amount purchased, ticket number and the community to which the ticket has been assigned.
The system is intended to give participants a clear record of their purchases and the communities linked to their tickets.
Communities get a place in the draw
The new Community Draw is another major feature of this year’s edition.
A total of 100 communities, each with 1,000 unique tickets, will form a pool of 100,000 tickets.
Four communities will be selected for rewards.
The first community drawn will receive 10 times the value of the ticket purchased, while the second, third and fourth communities will receive seven, five and three times the ticket value respectively.
There will also be a separate Bonus Draw, from which three tickets will be randomly selected. Each winning ticket will receive 100 times the value purchased.
From individual winnings to community needs
For GENIUSLOCI, the community element is intended to make The Luckiest™ more than a prize-based promotion.
The company says funds generated through the initiative can support practical needs in participating communities, including small businesses, artisans, education and local development projects.
For an artisan, a win could provide money to buy equipment or increase production. A small business could use additional funds to expand, while communities could channel resources into projects such as education, health or essential supplies.
That link between individual participation and community needs is central to GENIUSLOCI’s approach to the seasonal draw.
The ultimate prize gets bigger
The biggest change in the 2026 edition is the Ultimate Draw, where one ticket selected from the 100,000-ticket pool will earn 1,000 times the value purchased.
At the maximum ticket value of GH¢5,000, the 1,000-times reward would amount to GH¢5 million, if such a ticket is selected as the ultimate winner.
GENIUSLOCI, which was incorporated in 2015 and received authorisation from the NLA in 2023, is entering its fourth season with a model that combines entertainment, rewards and community initiatives.
For participants, the proposition is straightforward: tickets can be bought from GH¢1, there are several opportunities to win along the way, and the ultimate reward has been doubled from last season’s 500 times the ticket value to 1,000 times.to the communities taking part.
