The Tema Collection Sector of the Customs Division, Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), has achieved remarkable revenue growth in 2024, exceeding its annual target by 8.85%.
The sector collected GH₵36.86 billion against a target of GH₵33.93 billion, marking two consecutive years of exceeding revenue expectations.
Assistant Commissioner Christiana Odi Adjei, the outgoing Sector Commander, announced the development during her retirement ceremony. Under her leadership, the sector recorded significant operational and infrastructural improvements, including enhanced facilities, innovative reforms, and measures to curb abuses.
Assistant Commissioner Adjei’s career, spanning over three decades, was marked by consistent excellence, with prior achievements such as exceeding the revenue target at James Town by 83.23%.
Brigadier General Zibrim Bawah Ayorrogo, Commissioner of the Customs Division, commended her legacy of professionalism and innovation. “Tema is the heartbeat of the Customs Division. When Tema meets its targets, the entire Division thrives,” he remarked.
