Telecel Ghana has introduced its Women in Business (WIB) package to support and empower female entrepreneurs across the country.
The package offers benefits such as free website development, access to grants and loans, health and life insurance, e-commerce support, and networking opportunities.
Tawa Bolarin, Director of Enterprise Business and Wholesale at Telecel Ghana, said, “Our goal is to help women-led businesses thrive by expanding their reach and making them more sustainable and profitable.”

The WIB initiative, part of Telecel Ghana’s SME Month celebration under the theme ‘Connecting Businesses – Connecting the Woman in Business,’ is available to women-led businesses. It is built around six pillars: Reach, Accelerate, Engage, Empower, Assure, and Reward.
- Reach: Free website development and access to cashless bazaars and festivals to expand market reach through Telecel Play.
- Empower: Webinars and video series featuring successful women sharing their insights.
- Accelerate: Collateral-free loans from partners like ABSA, Fido, and McDan Foundation, with opportunities to pitch in the McDan Entrepreneurship Challenge.
- Engage: Networking events like the Women 100 Power Lunch and other professional connections for women-led businesses.
- Assure: Health and life insurance from MicroEnsure, plus 50% more points in the Red Loyalty programme for data, airtime, and other services.
- Reward: Earn 50% more on Red Loyalty points, redeemable for business-related perks.
