” There is a mighty big difference between good, sound reasons and reasons that sound good”. Burton Hillis
Rasta has been trying to make a reasonable conclusion to the above statement and now I see it clearly. What about you?
This kominini of the Republic’s Honables struggling over who is majority or minority in the Republic’s People’s House seems to be more political than law. Not too long ago, the then Loudspeaker of the People’s House declared a seat vacant and it was carried out. Note that it wasn’t the Wiggy Red-Robbed Supremos of the Republic ruled on it.
Reason? He had crossed carpet.
Today, the same Honable has done it again! He and some three others have crossed carpet and here we are with the current quagmire we find ourselves. Reason? Following precedence set by the previous Loudspeaker of the People’s House.
So, which of the reasons given in both cases, is good, sound reasons or reasons that sound good? Abeg, make your own conclusions for this palaver.
Ibi Ghana we dey!
Yours Truly, has always maintained that the current People’s House should be declared null and void. Because it started on a bad note. As to why they were sworn office when they very well knew that it was not a complete representation of the citizens of Republic. Four years down the line the people of SALL have not had the chance to elect their representative Honable to the People’s House.
And yet, one of the reasons being peddled around is that the constituents of the Honables whose seat is being declared vacant will be left without representation in the People’s House.
I agree hundred percent. But for the seats to be declared vacant, those who will be denied representation will be for five weeks or so. What about those who have been denied for four years?
So, check out the reasons. A good, sound reason or a reason that sounds good?
Ibi Ghana we dey!!!
Shockingly and most annoyingly, Honables were seen singing and dancing in and out of the chamber of the People’s House! For what reason? Is it because the Honables from the Umbrella Commune have had the chance to sit at the majority side during proceedings which lasted for about thirty minutes or the Honables from the Triumphant Patriotic Elephants had walked out?
Then I ask myself, are these the people we’re paying about twenty eight thousand cedis a month? Or the People’s House has become a dancing ground?
Anyway, even My President’s office was used for a commercial music video. What do you expect?
Ibi Ghana we dey!!!
Two quick questions for the Honables from the Triumphant Patriotic Elephants.
If you found the Loudspeaker of the People’s House misbehaving by declaring some seats vacant, why don’t you move for his impeachment? After all, you have the numbers. Abi?
Second, you sent the Loudspeaker to the Wiggy Red Robbed Supremos of the Republic adjudicate on your behalf and and he conveniently closed shop. You jubilantly walked out of the House. Anaa?
Why are you now making moves to compel him to reopen the House?
Ah well, ibi Ghana we dey!!!
So let’s ask ooo…..why are aspiring Honables going to the nook and cranny of their constituencies making donations left, right and center claiming to be helping them. Nice and good.
But does it have to be election time before they realize that the people needed the items they’re donating? Anyway, it’s consistent with our behavior. Until it’s Salah, Easter or Christmas before we remember our people and their needs. Showing love for the season. But not through out the year.
Last time, we heard that an aspiring Honable had donated some motorcycles and an undisclosed amount to the Men in Black in the constituency. What’s the reason?
And I ask myself, if on election day, this aspirant’s people decide to misbehave, can the Men in Black arrest them?
Massa, ibi Ghana we dey!!!
Please, what do these political actors in this Republic of ours take us for? We were in this Republic when a document called Agyapadie emerged and we never took it seriously. But when the proposed actions to be taken began to manifest, the Triumphant Patriotic Elephants came out to rubbish it.
My President even pointed accusing fingers to the Umbrella Commune as those behind the said document. Well nobody vex!
Then the same people have come that out there’s another document by the Umbrella Commune which sought to tarnish the image of the their party with some tactis to disrupt government business. Including what is happening now at the People’s House.
So your opposition told you to mistreat your own Honables for them to go independent?
Does this make any sense?
You disclaim the earlier one and now you say there’s another? Please, our heads are filled with brain tissues and not full with sand. Aba!
Ibi Ghana we dey!!!
Have a wonderful Saturday Morning hangover without blues. And a weekend of contemplating on what are good, sound reasons and reasons that sound good.
