When citizens complain about things happening especially corruption, in the this Republic of our death, those who gain from it directly or indirectly will tell ask you what have you done about it. Well I agree.
Then when common floor citizens want to point out some practices which they deem as wrongful and there’s glaring evidence for everyone to see, they tell you go to court. Whose court?
And when you dare blame our problems on leadership. They go back to ask, what you’ve done and the cycle goes on.
But you see my people, we have read in our fundamental History lessons that the most prominent factor for nations to rise and fall is largely about able leadership. Simple and short!!
Anyway, ibi Ghana we dey!
It is said that when the crocodile tells you that the alligator is sick, there’s no doubting it. When you decide to add Thomas to the names nature and your parents gave you and decide to go into the water to go see for yourself, it’s your own palava. Why am I saying this?
The leadership of organized labour beautifully and magnificently failed the labour community of the Republic by acquiescing to last minute pressure from government to go on strike against the ever thriving galamsey menace.
Luckily, My President assembled hundred troops on operation halt.
We complained about the numbers but on the first day of operation, they came back from the bush that a good number of excavators and other machinery were seized and burned.
Burned? Who gave that order? Who saw the items? Were those machinery not evidence to facilitate the prosecution of the owners?
Now you see my confusion?
We’ve been boxed into a situation where we have no option but to believe what they say. So if those who went to the forest and back say this what transpired and you doubt it and want to try going into the bush on your own to see things fiiilii fiiilii with your koronkoron eyes, bon voyage!!
Ibi Ghana we dey!!
Still on galamsey! Did you hear what My President said? He says his inability to deal with the menace as he wanted is all due to the campaign messages of Little Dramani in the last elections.
Trust My President to be cagey and wrapping up nicely the blame and delivering it to the most convenient culprit. Economy spoil, na COVID 19; economy worse, na Russia versus Ukraine. Galamsey, na Little Dramani.
Ibi Ghana we dey!!!
Just when the citizens of the Republic thought that the astute Honable Idris has been banished into silence since he was unconventionally removed as leader in the People’s House, here he comes causing a lot stir.
As someone who had eaten seven boiled eggs of a vulture in seven days, I got a kick in my stomach when all of a sudden, the Honable Idris started harping on the scrapping of ‘wunku nya, wunku di’ (winner takes all) policies being practiced, as if his party was not guilty, I knew the man was spoiling for audience or about dropping a political bombshell.
And bam!! He did it by asking that some seats in the People’s House be declared vacant. And now there’s rancour. The power lever has changed hands and Alexander the great marching from Efutu is so peeved that he’s gone to the Wiggly Red Robbed Supremos of the Republic with his complaints. And threatening a walk out until whatever will come from the Wiggy Red Robbed Supremos of the land.
The blues of Rasta on this issue is, why do people feel it’s their birth right to be leaders in this Republic? Your time came and has ended, just move too, it’s wahala.
When the speaker said, when you plant evil, you reap evil, it didn’t register on them? Next time they should take the utterances of their candidates seriously.
Whatever motivated the Honable Alan Cash to leave the party should have been a warning signal. But when you’re basking in power, sharing it is difficult.
In fact what they did to the Honable Asiama in 2020 should been the beginning of the learning curve. Luckily, he decided to join his old party after winning entry into the chamber of the Republic’s People’s House on his own.
Sadly, it’s the ordinary citizens that will be shortchanged if this walk out is staged. They’ll deny their constituencies of representation in the People’s House and yet come early next year, their accounts will swell with the assured ex gratia and not even one member of the citizens on whose thumb they found themselves in the People’s House, will smell the money let alone get one pesewa. Win or lose. Sad truth but…..
Now, what we have at hand is the Wiggy Red Robbed Supremos of the Republic says stay cool. So everyone should go home and come back later. We shall deal with the matter proper. As to why they can’t settle this matter now and at once is going to create a lot of muted musing and bickering in the court of public opinion. But patience should be the watch word for citizens.
But pity do I have for the panel sitting on the matter. Whatever their final ruling, debate upon debate will be generated all over.
Ibi Ghana we dey!!!
Power has a way of shifting in funny ways. Let’s be humble when we’re given power and use it wisely. After all, cockroaches die eventually. Think about it.
Have a wonderful Saturday Morning hangover and a weekend of finding means of advising your kith and kin to avoid electoral violence on behalf of somebody’s father or mother.
