The 2024 edition of “Rhythms On Da Runway” will celebrate key figures who have made significant contributions to Ghana’s creative arts industry. Scheduled for November 30 at the Grand Arena, Accra International Conference Centre, the event will recognize individuals such as Agya Koo Nimo, known privately as Daniel Amponsah, who has championed acoustic guitar Highlife and palm wine music for decades.
Other honorees include Highlife musician Kwabena Kwabena and Chief Dele Momodu of Ovation fame, noted for his investment in and support of Ghanaian creatives. Also set to be honoured is renowned Ghanaian-French singer Bibie Brew, whose exceptional voice has crossed international borders.

Since its inception in 2010, “Rhythms On Da Runway” has served as a platform for uniting and showcasing Africa’s diverse talents in fashion, music, and culture. Speaking at the launch, Yvonne Ocloo, Producer and Creative Director, described the event as a celebration of the intersection of these elements. “This year, we are focusing on Kente, one of Africa’s most iconic and sustainable fabrics,” she said, encouraging designers to draw from the wisdom of Kente weavers to create sustainable collections.
Ms. Ocloo noted that the 2024 edition would be the last physical launch, with future events shifting to virtual platforms due to challenges in securing financial support for large-scale creative arts projects. Leading up to the grand event, activities include a model showcase on October 5, a networking event for fashion and music industry stakeholders on October 25, and the “ORANGE Roundtable” leadership forum on November 14.
