Rana Motors is celebrating 30 years of the Kia Sportage’s presence on the Ghanaian market with the launch of a limited special edition of the 5th Generation model. Assembled in Ghana, this latest version of the compact SUV showcases a blend of local craftsmanship and advanced technology, positioning it as a trendsetter in the country’s automobile industry.
Key upgrades in the 2024 special edition include acoustic laminated glass for a quieter driving experience, as well as reinforced safety features such as eight airbags, including rear side airbags, which enhance the protection of both drivers and passengers. The move highlights Kia’s commitment to combining luxury, safety, and convenience to meet the demands of modern-day motorists.
Speaking at the unveiling ceremony, Kassem Odaymat, Chief Operating Officer of Rana Motors, praised the Kia Sportage for its lasting impact on Ghana’s automotive landscape. “To mark three decades of outstanding success, Kia has equipped this new special edition of the 2024 Sportage with enhanced specifications, focusing on convenience and safety while further elevating the model’s considerable luxury and design appeal,” he said.
Mr. Odaymat emphasized that with the continuous partnership between Kia and Rana Motors, the Sportage is well-positioned to venture into the future, breaking new grounds in the process. “Looking into the future, we are certain that Kia Sportage is ready to explore new horizons. With Rana Motors by its side, this adventurer will continue to push the boundaries of possibility,” he remarked.
Alex Kuntah, Sales Manager at Rana Motors, assured potential customers of the vehicle’s availability across all showrooms in Ghana, reaffirming the brand’s focus on delivering quality and value for money. “The Sportage brand is readily available in all showrooms, offering customers’ value for money,” he stated.
At the event, the first five owners of the 30th Anniversary Limited Edition were presented with premium branded anniversary gifts as part of the official handover of their new Sportage SUVs, further enhancing the celebratory atmosphere of the occasion.
