The Paris Graduate School of Management (PGSM) alumni community in Ghana is taking a major step in advancing executive education with the launch of the ESG Executive Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) program. The launch event, scheduled for Saturday, June 28 at the Coconut Grove Regency Hotel in Accra, marks a significant academic and professional milestone for the PGSM alumni body.
This is coming at a time that Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) has been going after people with fake PhD certificates as well as honorary certificates but are using the title ‘doctor’.
The Executive DBA program, developed by ESG France, is fully accredited in France and has received official recognition from the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC). This positions the program as a credible pathway for senior professionals in Ghana seeking to pursue a terminal degree in business administration without relocating abroad.
This initiative is being championed by the PGSM alumni association in Ghana as part of its efforts to strengthen alumni engagement and contribute to the country’s higher education landscape. The program is being introduced through a strategic partnership between ESG France and Renfrew University College, whose current president is a member of the PGSM alumni network. The collaboration aims to deliver world-class doctoral education tailored to the academic and professional needs of executives in Ghana and the West African region.
The launch will feature prominent figures from the PGSM academic network, including Professor Parber, Director for International Programs at ESG, and Dr. José Rizel, Dean of the Executive DBA program. The event will also bring together alumni, educators, and business professionals for networking and knowledge sharing.
With a call to “Reunite, Resolve, Relaunch,” by Hugh Aryee, president of PGSM alumni, the event underscores a commitment to academic excellence, leadership development, and the elevation of business education standards in Ghana.
