The flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Dramani Mahama says his governance will prioritise the needs of the country’s most vulnerable citizens if elected. During the NDC manifesto launch, Mr. Mahama emphasized the importance of inclusive growth, highlighting a range of social protection policies aimed at ensuring that every Ghanaian, regardless of their socioeconomic background, can access essential services.
These policies he explained are designed to address long-standing inequalities, offering a safety net to those in marginalized communities who have often been left behind in the country’s economic development.

According to the World Bank, nearly a quarter of Ghanaians live below the poverty line, with many in rural areas facing extreme poverty. Mahama’s social protection agenda is expected to provide much-needed relief to these populations.
In Ghana, access to basic services such as healthcare, education, and housing is often determined by factors like location and income level. The former President’s proposed social policies are expected to close these gaps. By improving these services, the NDC government aims to ensure that even those in the most remote parts of Ghana can live with dignity and have opportunities to succeed.
