Namibia will host the 5th Canada–Africa Business Conference on February 5, 2026, bringing together business leaders, investors and policymakers from Canada, Namibia and across Africa, organisers said.
The conference, convened by the Canada–Africa Chamber of Business, will focus on key sectors including mining, energy, infrastructure and sustainable economic development. It will take place in Windhoek and is expected to strengthen trade and investment ties between Canada and African countries.
Organisers said Namibia’s strong governance, clear regulations and stable long-term policies have helped make the country an attractive destination for international investment.
The programme will include panel discussions, sector-focused sessions and private meetings aimed at encouraging investment, supporting responsible projects and building partnerships between Namibian companies and international investors.
“Namibia has built a strong reputation as a jurisdiction where mining investment can be undertaken responsibly, transparently, and in partnership with government and communities,” said John Roos, Country Manager of B2Gold Namibia. “The Canada-Africa Business Conference provides a valuable platform for practical dialogue between operators, investors, and policymakers, helping to advance projects that contribute to long-term national development, which we are pleased to support”.
Canadian business leaders attending the event will include Wayne Floreani, Co-founder and President of MineAfrica Inc., who highlighted Namibia’s growing importance in the global mining industry and the wider opportunities created by the sector.
“I’m looking forward to participating in the conference in Namibia because it represents one of Africa’s most compelling investment destinations for the mining sector,” said Floreani. “We have had the pleasure of showcasing Namibia during PDAC in Toronto each year along with Canadian miners active in the country including B2Gold, Koryx Copper, Northern Graphite and Namibia Critical Metals. I look forward to welcoming Canadian companies who wish to join the conference as our guests, by contacting the Chamber or myself directly.”
Organisers said hosting the conference will help reinforce Namibia’s role as a regional centre for responsible investment and international business engagement. The event will be broadcast live.
