Maradona Adjei Yeboah, popularly known as “Guru,” has secured a significant victory as the new Students’ Representative Council (SRC) President of the University of Ghana, Legon. His campaign focused on addressing key student concerns such as accommodation challenges, academic resources, and overall student welfare. Despite an initial disqualification, Guru’s reinstatement by the SRC Judicial Committee revived his campaign, leading to a strong voter turnout and eventual success.

Guru’s leadership is anticipated to introduce fresh reforms to campus life, emphasizing inclusivity and innovation. His multifaceted background, balancing education, entertainment, and entrepreneurship, has garnered wide support and highlighted his capability to influence both the university community and beyond. His win demonstrates the resilience of the SRC’s democratic processes and promises progress for the student body, as Guru prepares to work with the administration to enhance student life at the University of Ghana.

As he takes office, the university community looks forward to the positive changes his tenure is expected to bring, leveraging his experience in the entertainment industry and his passion for student advocacy.
