MTN Group, has partnered with Synamedia, a video software provider, to launch a new streaming platform for mobile and fixed broadband subscribers across Africa. The platform, designed to enhance digital content accessibility and cater to evolving audience preferences, will deliver both linear television and video-on-demand content through Synamedia’s advanced cloud-based technology.
The service will support diverse monetisation models, including subscriptions, ad-supported content, and free streaming channels with targeted advertising. Each African market will benefit from a tailored content strategy that adapts to local cultures, languages, and viewing habits.
Synamedia’s integration technology will ensure seamless content management, personalised recommendations, and scalability for the platform, positioning it as a reliable service for an expanding user base.
