Nii Lomotey, who participated in the 2023 Chalewote Festival, is once again taking part in this year’s edition, with a fresh approach to his art. In an interview with The High Street Journal, Lomotey disclosed that he is currently engaged in academic research focused on how to effectively recycle waste paper to create artwork, in addition to his traditional use of paint and brush. Lomotey, known for his stunning paintings, remarked that his work is gaining recognition, with people reaching out to discuss his art.

An innovative view of Lomotey’s current research is the idea of using art as a tool to address pollution, which aligns with his broader commitment to sustainability and artistic innovation. Lomotey, pointed out his belief in using quality materials to make his work stand out, stating, “If it must be done, it must be done well.”

The Chale Wote Street Arts festival which began on Monday is attracting many visitors to the events ground. The last three days of the event- Friday, Saturday and Sunday are expected to see thousands of patrons trouping to enjoy the rich display of arts and culture.
