President John Dramani Mahama is urging business leaders and policymakers to move beyond political promises and implement practical strategies that directly benefit Ghanaian entrepreneurs.
In remarks following his participation in the Kwahu Business Forum during the Easter festivities, President Mahama praised the resilience and innovation of local business leaders. He emphasized that while entrepreneurship remains central to Ghana’s economic transformation, its potential can only be realized through deliberate and sustained policy support.
“Our entrepreneurs are doing their part,” he said. “It’s time we match their efforts with real policies—not rhetoric—that create space for them to grow, scale, and create jobs.”
The President also acknowledged the vital contributions of CEOs, financial executives, and private sector actors in building a more dynamic economy. He called for enhanced collaboration between government and business stakeholders to remove bottlenecks, improve access to finance, and foster a more predictable business environment.
As part of his broader economic strategy, President Mahama reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to “resetting Ghana” through targeted support for entrepreneurship, especially among youth and SMEs. He said the government is prioritizing reforms that will promote business sustainability, encourage innovation, and drive inclusive growth.
The Kwahu Business Forum, which gathers top corporate executives, SMEs, and economic planners, continues to serve as a critical platform for dialogue on how to accelerate private sector-led development in Ghana.
