The Ghana Chamber of Telecommunications and the Digital Chamber of Ghana have announced the departure of their Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Kenneth Ashigbey, who officially stepped down at the end of May 2025 after nearly eight years of transformative leadership.

“Ing. Dr Kenneth Ashigbey, Chief Executive Officer, has stepped down from his role at the end of May 2025 after nearly eight years of exemplary leadership. We are deeply grateful for his service,” the Chambers said in a joint statement.
Dr. Ashigbey’s tenure has been widely celebrated for elevating the profile and impact of Ghana’s telecommunications and digital financial services industries. Under his leadership, the sector witnessed significant strides in innovation, regulatory engagement, and cross-sectoral collaboration, becoming a pivotal contributor to Ghana’s digital economy.

“His passion, vision, and relentless pursuit of excellence have not only elevated the telecommunications and digital financial industries but also significantly contributed to Ghana’s broader national economy, inspiring us all,” the statement noted.
As Dr. Ashigbey transitions to his next chapter, the Chambers have pledged to uphold and expand on the solid foundation he leaves behind. They reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening advocacy, deepening stakeholder collaboration, and championing innovations that will continue to advance the industry and uplift Ghanaians across all sectors.
During the leadership transition, all official correspondence related to the Chamber’s CEO should be directed to the Chairman of the Ghana Chamber of Telecommunications. An announcement regarding Dr. Ashigbey’s successor is expected in due course.
